Military Working Dog Tarzan: an irreplacable asset to Andersen
Tarzan is a 6 year old, male, Belgian Malinois and a dedicated, hardworking Military Working Dog. Staff Sgt. Tabitha Fricano, 36th Security Forces Squadron arrived at Andersen in January 2007 and began building a timeless bond with Tarzan by February 2007. Military Working Dog Tarzan: an irreplacable asset to Andersen

Doug Owens, 36th Wing commander, express their appreciation of Seikichi "Mr. Paul" Kaneshiro for his dedicated sixty-six years of service to the nation during his retirement ceremony at Andersen Air Force Base on May 30. Dr. Robert Gates presided over the ceremony held in honor of Mr. Paul who has served in both the military and civil service since Jan. 28, 1946. His service includes support to the Cold War, the Korean War and Vietnam War, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and The Global War On Terror. Members of the Armed Service Blood Bank Center held their annual Blood Drive this year on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam on May 20, 2008. Their mission one here at Andersen AFB is grave to collect enough blood supply for humanitarian relief around the Pacific and also supply for Enduring Freedom servicemen.
