Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert Gates and Brig. Gen. Doug Owens, 36th Wing commander, express their appreciation of Seikichi "Mr. Paul" Kaneshiro for his dedicated sixty-six years of service to the nation during his retirement ceremony at Andersen Air Force Base on May 30. Dr. Robert Gates presided over the ceremony held in honor of Mr. Paul who has served in both the military and civil service since Jan. 28, 1946. His service includes support to the Cold War, the Korean War and Vietnam War, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and The Global War On Terror.
