Staff Sgt. Christopher Lucas, Detachment 3 knowledge operations management, was awarded Andersen's Best, here Oct. 22.

As a knowledge operations management journeyman, Sergeant Lucas ensures all Contractor Logistical Support personnel have the most up to date information on any last minute technical order changes allowing on time take-offs of mission essential flights supporting Pacific Commands and Air Force level taskings.

"Sergeant Lucas has really excelled at learning communications taskings at a moment's notice," explains Tech. Sgt. Lakeisha, Det. 3 NCO-in-charge of Plans, Scheduling and Documentation. "He continuously works hours beyond the normal duty and weekends to ensure the unit is poised to meet its real world mission commitments."

Sergeant Lucas is an essential part of the Launch and Recovery Element providing its connection to the world through the 36th Communications Squadron networks.

"He is an extreme go getter, always asking if there is anything anyone needs help with, within and outside of his comfort zone or work knowledge," Sergeant Lakeisha said. "[We are always] able to call on him to get a task completed and he has great coordination skills throughout the unit. A true joy to work with and he makes the work atmosphere light."

For his outstanding performance, dedication, commitment to excellence and actions above and beyond expectations, the 9th Operations Group, Det. 3 and wing leadership dub him Andersen's Best.

Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman with an award.
