We would like to remind all passengers that seat releases on our aircraft can and will change at a moments notice. Mission requirements (Space-Required passengers and cargo) will always take precedence over any Space Available passengers. While we understand that this may cause frustration during travel, we ask that you remain flexible when anticipating travel through AMC terminals as we accomplish our mission here in the PACAF and worldwide. Thank you.
Attention all AMC passengers, Signing up for Space A we will no longer accept social security numbers. Primarily referencing retirees holding the previous version of DOD ID cards. We will use DOD ID, passport numbers only. New ID cards can be made at Military Personnel Flight (MPF). Effective immediately
As a reminder: As per AMCI 24-101 Vol 14, Children under 10 years of age are required to have either a DOD ID number or a passport to travel Space-A. Birth certificates and social security cards are no longer sufficient. DOD ID numbers can be retrieved from either the MILConnect website, or by visiting MPF and retrieving your DEERS printout. For more information please do not hesitate to give us a call.
A short guide to understanding seat releases Here at Andersen there are a lot of factors to consider when trying to catch a flight. We could have 5 missions or more in a day but may not get Space-A seats on any of them. The staff at the passenger terminal do not decide how many seats will be released on each aircraft, this information is given to us. We do not have 100% passenger configured aircrafts similar to Patriot Express commercial passenger planes. Most of our aircraft are dual-configured for cargo and passengers, so we process Space-A seats as our mission requirements allow, with cargo and in some cases, medical evacuation patients taking first priority. Space-A passengers are also restricted from flying on aircraft carrying anything that may cause pose a safety or security issue. We cannot give out any flight information more than 72 hours in advance to the flight departure. Even within the 72 hour window, the schedule that we have is not completely firm. We do not make the schedule. It changes regularly, due to factors that are out of our control. Also, ALL flights are subject to change at any time without prior notice. You should always have a back-up plan when traveling Space-A. Hopefully this short explanation helps answer a few questions about how space A works. V/R, Andersen Passenger Terminal staff
Please be aware that Space-A travelers must be prepared to cover commercial travel expenses if Space-A flights are changed or become unavailable. Per DODI 4515.13, Section 4, Paragraph 4.1.a, Reservations: There is no guarantee of transportation, and reservations will not be accepted or made for any space-available traveler. The DOD is not obligated to continue an individual's travel or return the individual to the point of origin or any other point. Travelers should have sufficient personal funds to pay for commercial transportation, lodging, and other expenses if space-available transportation is not available.
