Andersen's 2006 Combined Federal Campaign was a huge success and everyone in the 36th Wing played a big role in that success.

The wing raised more than $137,000 for charity, while 18 units qualified for unit level awards. You can all be proud in saying that you were responsible for making our 2006 campaign such a success. The focus for this campaign was to exceed last year's monetary goal in the Wing, and you all responded beautifully. This year 35 percent more people participated in helping the base eclipse last year's goal by $3,000.

On March 9, Greg Sassman, Combined Federal Campaign overseas director, and David Knight, CFC-O Pacific Director joined Brig. Gen. Douglas Owens, 36th Wing commander, to present 18 unit plaques. Unit plaques honor those units who strive for teamwork through giving at the following distinguished levels:

To earn a bronze award, units had to have an average contribution of $60 per potential contributor and/or 40 percent participation in the unit.  To earn a silver award, units had to have an average contribution of $90 per potential contributor and/or 50 percent participation in the unit.  To earn a gold award, units had to have an average contribution of $120 per potential contributor or 60 percent participation in the unit.  To earn a platinum award, units had to have an average contribution of $200 per potential contributor and 85 percent participation in the unit.

The units that received awards this year are:
