36 FSS prepares for myEval launch Published May 18, 2022 By U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Aubree Owens 36th Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- A team of four members in the Force Management Section with the 36th Force Support Squadron have been preparing for the base’s upcoming transition from virtual Personnel Center to myEvaluation, which is live now at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, May 19, 2022. The four Airmen in Force Management have made it their mission the past few months to seamlessly transition members to this new platform. McClelland and her team: Tech. Sgt. Nicholas Komor, Staff Sgt. Julian Rice, Staff Sgt. Shamiqua Victorine, have briefed from head leadership to entire groups, squadrons and organizations at Andersen AFB explaining how to utilize the new platform. The new platform became active March 31, 2022, and the switch will be fully completed by May 31, 2022, starting with the Chief Master Sgt.’s static closeout date for enlisted performance reports. The following ranks will continue to switch throughout the year to myEval across the U.S. Air Force. “We are always studying new guidance that drops for myEval and constantly familiarize ourselves with this new system,” U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Nicole McClelland, the section chief in force management with 36 FSS. “Along with roadshows, we work closely with leadership teams, command teams and commander support staffs on troubleshooting issues and crosstalk amongst the career field on discussion boards to help us become subject matter experts.” For the past few months the team has been creating training plans and conducting roadshows, base-wide training sessions, in order to familiarize everyone with the new platform. “The purpose is to connect with as many Airmen as we can to invigorate excitement behind this big change but to also help teach what we know so this can be a seamless transition for all,” said McClelland. “It is important that we support all Team Andersen Airmen in this transition so they can have no interruptions to their mission.” With this change, the Airman Comprehensive Assessment will be replaced with a new cloud-based officer and enlisted evaluation system grounded with Airman Leadership Qualities throughout the assessment. “ALQ based feedback helps all Airmen understand what they are being ‘graded’ or evaluated against,” said McClelland. “This helps them clearly understand expectations but also helps leaders more deliberately develop their teams.” The ALQs represent the performance characteristics the Air Force wants to define, develop, incentivize, and measure in Airmen. They include job proficiency, initiative, adaptability, inclusion and teamwork, emotional intelligence, communication, stewardship, accountability, decision making, and innovation. "Shifting to a 21st Century IT application, like myEval, enables the department to greatly improve our performance feedback and evaluation systems, synchronizing and complementing the many updates we’ve made to our talent management systems over the past couple of years,” said U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Brian Kelly, Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower, Personnel, and Services. “The myEval application reduces administrative burdens, enhances the user experience, and provides leaders with performance data to assist in making informed talent management decisions."
