Christmas Drop preperation
C-130s from the 374th Air Wing, Yokota Air Base, Japan, assemble on Andersen’s airfield in preparation for an early morning take off. These flights are designed to allow the Airmen to practice the aerial maneuvers they will need to accomplish their next mission, Operation Christmas Drop. This annual event allows the Air Force to use its aerial delivery platforms, such as the C-130 Hercules, to deliver holiday cheer to sparsely populated islands in Micronesia. Operation Christmas Drop is scheduled for December 14th – 17th. (Air Fore photo/Senior Airman Brian Kimball)
