Andersen's Best: Staff Sgt. Beth Del Vecchio, 36th Wing Public Affairs Published June 28, 2011 ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Staff Sgt. Beth Del Vecchio, 36th Wing Public Affairs chief, was awarded Andersen's Best here June 20. Sergeant Del Vecchio assumed PA officer and superintendant duties to manage the team during a 50 percent manning loss. She led the team during Compliance Inspection preparation, resulting in an 'excellent' rating for the PA office. Sergeant Del Vecchio also reinstated the dormant Commander's Action Line after a concern was addressed at a Town Hall meeting, providing a direct link between the wing commander and the community. Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman with an award.
