PACAF Command Chief visits Team Andersen

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- The Pacific Air Forces Command Chief Master Sergeant. visited with Team Andersen Airmen Oct. 19 to 21 for the first time since assuming his position as the command's senior enlisted leader.

Command Chief Master Sgt. Harold Hutchison met with wing leadership as well as Andersen's Joint Region Marianas partners and set aside time to meet with Airmen.

"This trip was very rewarding," said Hutchison. "I appreciate (the Airmen's) can-do attitude to accomplishing the mission given all the weather elements and conditions. They face all tasks with a positive attitude."

Along with touring various facilities like the Andersen Fire Department and the U.S. Navy's Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, Hutchison was also able to sit down and have lunch with the Andersen First Four Council.

"It was an amazing experience," said Airman 1st Class Patrick Bissett, Andersen First Four Council president. "He had so much knowledge to share with the Airmen and I about how the new enlisted performance report system will affect us and the importance of our role in the Air Force as a whole."

Hutchison ended his tour with an all-call, where he discussed Andersen's role in PACAF and complimented them on their accomplishments.

"I would say that other commands are doing an outstanding job," said Hutchison. "But I will tell you the innovation that Andersen Airmen have been able to accomplish at all levels is making a difference in PACAF. They are vitally important."

He also attempted to set anxious minds at ease in regards to the new enlisted performance reports and other programs.

"Have faith and trust in Air Force leadership that your best interests will be taken into consideration as these new plans and programs are implemented," he said. "We just ask you to do the best you can with the job that you are tasked to do."
