Andersen's Best- Staff Sgt. Mike Lewis, 734th Air Mobility Squadron

Staff Sgt. Mike Lewis an Aerial Port Capability Forecaster with the 734th Air Mobility Squadron, was awarded Andersen's Best here Dec. 3.

As aerial port capability forecaster, Sergeant Lewis coordinates cargo and passenger airlift requirements with the Tactical Air Control Center as well as coordinating all inbound and outbound munitions airlift movements.

Sergeant Lewis is an essential part of the unit, monitoring and directing aerial port ground operations with tenant and host base agencies identifying and redirecting passenger and equipment to ensure safe, effective and efficient mission accomplishment.

As aerial port lead for exercise Phoenix Cooper he lead the movement of 388 personnel, 95 tons and 18 missions with no delays. During Valiant Shield he coordinated the movement of 615 tons of equipment, 1,600 passengers with more than 105 missions enabling 125 aircraft with more than 880 sorties in 10 days.

Additionally Sergeant Lewis is the 36th Wing Reception Working Group lead for the 734th AMS aerial port; coordinating all exercise support for the Pacific Commands Theater Security Package, Continuous Bomber Presence and Tanker rotations.

"[Sergeant Lewis is an] absolutely phenomenal Non-commissioned Officer!," exclaimed Chief Master Sergeant David Graak, 734th AMS, Superintendent. "Duty performance, leadership, community involvement, physical training, you name it and this hard charger excel it..." he added.

For his outstanding performance, dedication, commitment to excellence and actions above and beyond expectations, the 734th AMS and wing leadership dub him Andersen's Best.
