Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall exits a U.S. Navy MH-60S Seahawk during his visit at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Aug. 19, 2022. During the flight Kendall received a briefing about the plans to construct a Singapore Air Force permanent fighter training detachment. The Singapore fighter presence on Guam will provide training and cooperation opportunities that will improve interoperability and strengthen U.S.-Singapore defense ties. The training presence, which will begin around 2029, will consist of a squadron of aircraft and associated personnel, and include the construction of hangars, aprons and support facilities.
