B-52s deploy to Indo-Pacific for Bomber Task Force
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 2nd Munitions Squadron and 707th Maintenance Squadron, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, prepare to transport BDU-50 training bombs for Bomber Task Force (BTF) missions at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Aug. 27, 2021. In line with the National Defense Strategy’s objectives of strategic predictability and operational unpredictability, the BTF enables a mix of different types of bombers to operate forward in the Indo-Pacific region from a broad array of overseas and Continental U.S. locations with greater operational resilience.
