U.S., Japan and Australian forces kick off COPE NORTH 2020

Two U.S. Air Force F-15 Eagles assigned to the 67th Fighter Squadron, Kadena Air Base, Japan, prepare to take off during Exercise Cope North 20 (CN20) at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 11, 2020. Exercise CN20 is an annual U.S. Pacific Air Forces trilateral field training exercise with participants from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, Japan Air Self-Defense Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. The primary intent of CN20 is to enhance coordination of combined air tactics, hone techniques and procedures while strengthening security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
