Hurricane Hunters facilitate meteorological study from Andersen AFB

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Master Sgt. Jeff Stack, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron weather loadmaster, guides Airman 1st Class Joe Olsen, 734th Air Mobility Squadron air transportation apprentice, as he loads a pallet of buoys onto an Air Force Reserve WC-130J. The 53rd WRS uses the buoys to record the ocean?s interaction with the atmosphere. The 53rd WRS, deployed here from Keesler AFB, Miss., to conduct meteorological research on tropical cyclones in the Western Pacific. The study runs through the end of September.
