Operation Christmas Drop 2008

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Staff Sgt. Ian Hunt, 36th Airlift Squadron loadmaster, waits for the right moment Dec. 14 to push the first of more than 180 packages to be dropped during the 2008 Operation Christmas Drop. Operation Christmas Drop is the Air Force’s longest-running humanitarian which began in 1952. Airmen today continue the tradition delivering supplies to remote islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Yap, Palau, Chuuk and Pohnpei.
