Capt. Billy Wilson, 36th Airfield Operations Flight commander, was recently awarded the 2007 Colonel Derrel L. Dempsey Officer of the Year award. Some of Captain Wilson's accomplishments include managing airfield improvements valued at more than $45 million and leading the Navy Strike Fighter Readiness Program Exercise that included 32 Navy F/A-18 Hornets and 400 sailors.
