Staff Sgt. Sandra Achivida, 36th Operations Support Squadron, has been named the Pacific Air Forces' 2007 Air Traffic Control Watch Supervisor of the Year. Staff Sgt. Achivida played a key role in Valiant Shield by sequencing 17 in-flight emergencies and aided in guaranteeing Navy's Strike Fighter Readiness Program Exercise by mixing 40 fighter and heavy aircraft with two Air Expeditionary Force rotations. She also ensured Cope North success by managing language barriers for the 1st Japanese Air Self-Defense Force and de-conflicted ground support for the Japanese F-2/FSX deployment composed of more than 730 operations in two weeks.
