Ballesta from the Won Pat International Airport Fire Department and John Robert Ballesta from Andersen's Fire and Emergency Services Flight train together during a joint training mission with fire departments from the Department of Defense, Government of Guam and the international airport here Jan. 22. John R. Ballesta, the father, has been a firefighter for more than 20 years. He first joined in 1988 with the Navy Federal Fire Department. After the Navy Federal Fire Department closed 28 men, including himself, transferred to the Won Pat Fire Department. His son Staff Sgt. John Robert Ballesta is stationed here.
