An F-22 Raptor takes off at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, while another waits for clearance March 5. The Raptors are deployed from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, to the 90th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron at Andersen. The base received 14 of the $140 million aircraft and more than 250 Airmen for a three-month deployment as the Pacific's Theater Security Package. The stealth-fighters, along with associated maintenance and support personnel will participate in various exercises that provide routine training in an environment different from their home station.
