Repainting history

Andersen’s Airman are already taking time from their day to admire the F-4E’s new appearance. This aircraft now reflects the current wing organization. F-4s were never formally assigned to Andersen; however, the base was a major hub for combat fighter flights to and from Southeast Asia in the 1960s – 1970s. These Airmen, Staff Sgt. Matasha Stinson (right), Lt. Jeremy Hirsch and Senior Airman Tyler Cresap, all from the 393rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, stopped by the display and reflected on this tangible piece of the Air Force’s heritage and legacy.
