ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Junior Air Force officers from Andersen Air Force Base's Company Grade Officer Council clean up trash at a local cliffline. All told, the 13 officers and several local residents cleaned up 890 pounds of scrap metal, 315 pounds of glass, 15 bags of plastic bottles, 55 pounds of aluminum cans, and 25 bags of trash. Approximately 75 percent, by weight, of all the materials was able to be recycled locally by the group. The officers plan to return to the site once a month to perform cleanup and preventive maintenance. Anyone interested in participating can contact 2nd Lt. James Elliott at 366-2520.
