GREEN SEA TURTLE LAYS EGGS
To protect green sea turtle nests from predators, members of Andersen’s Marine Patrol, in conjunction with Guam’s Department of Aquatic and Wildlife Resources, cover the nests with a sheet of four-by-four foot mesh wire. The technique prevents wild pigs and other animals from destroying the nest, but allows new hatchlings to emerge and make their way to the sea. (U.S. Air Force Courtesy Photo)
