Staff. Sgt. Brandon Hall prepares a wall mold for a tilt-up style building Jan. 13 at Northwest Field on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. The 10-year construction plan will provide 80 facilities and infrastructure supporting four units: 554th and 254th RED HORSE Squadrons, Commando Warrior, 644th Combat Communications and 554th Silver Flag onto one base. Once complete, the state-of-the-art training site will be instrumental in the continuing effort in supporting the Global War on Terrorism. Sgt. Andersen Red Horse units build PACAF training center
Airman from the 554th Red Horse Squadron walk to a construction site Jan.13 at Northwest field, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Once complete the site will be PACAF's future, premier Expeditionary Combat Skills Training Campus providing 80 facilities and infrastructure supporting four units: 554th and 254th RED HORSE Squadrons, Commando Warrior, 644th Combat Communications and 554th Silver Flag onto one base. Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) provide the Air Force with a highly mobile civil engineer response force to support contingency and special operations worldwide. Reserve refuelers participate in first exercise
Tech. Sgt. Larry Flook marshals in a KC-135 Stratotanker at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam after completing a sortie in support of an Exercise Jan. 9. During the exercise the tanker off loaded over 90,000 lbs of fuel to support the 23rd Expeditionary Bomber Squadron B-52 Stratofortress long duration mission. The KC-135 Stratotanker provides the core Air refueling capability for the United States Air Force and has excelled in this role for more than 50 years. The success of this exercise depends largely on support received from the 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind tanker unit deployed to Andersen. This is one of the first exercises the tankers have participated in over the Pacific since assuming the refueling operations in early Jan. 2009. Sgt Flook is a 434th ARW crew chief. Deployed Airmen Spread Goodwill on Guam's Christmas Eve
