ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Lt. Col. Steven Shinkel, 734th Air Mobility Squadron commander, explains the importance of the "baby room" in Team Andersen's passenger terminal to Gen. Arthur Lichte, Air Mobility Command commander, and his entourage here Jan. 28. The "baby room" is used to give nursing mothers privacy or infants and toddlers some much needed rest while at the passenger terminal. Team Andersen celebrates Wingman Day
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam - Airman 1st Class Sean Jarvis, 36th Security Forces Squadron, conducts a mock field sobriety test at the driving while under the influence demonstration at Arc Light Memorial Park Jan. 23 here. Senior Airman Matthew Laughlin, 36th Operations Support Squadron, wore impaired vision simulators calibrated to simulate a .17 to 1.2 blood alcohol content during the mock field sobriety test. Airman from the 554th Red Horse Squadron prepare to pour concrete Jan.13 at Northwest field, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. Once complete the site will be PACAF's future, premier Expeditionary Combat Skills Training Campus providing 80 facilities and infrastructure supporting four units: 554th and 254th RED HORSE Squadrons, Commando Warrior, 644th Combat Communications and 554th Silver Flag onto one base. Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) provide the Air Force with a highly mobile civil engineer response force to support contingency and special operations worldwide. The construction plan will provide 80 facilities and infrastructure supporting four units. Northwest Field is going to become the home of Pacific Air Force’s premier Regional Training Center known as “Commando Warrior” as well as the 644 Combat Communications Squadron and the 554th RED HORSE Squadron and their “Silver Flag” training detachment. Collocating the different units will enable each unit to benefit from the synergies it creates; becoming the first training center of its kind in the Pacific. The mission of this Regional Training Center (RTC) is to enhance the combat readiness of Pacific Air Force forces through training and evaluation of Force Protection and Ground Combat Skills (GCS).
