The 434th Air Refueling Wing from Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana recently completed a deployment to Andersen in support of Pacific Refueling Operations. During the 120 day deployment they accomplished 162 missions, flew 654 hours, off loaded over 8.2 million pounds of fuel with an overall mission capability rate of 96.2 percent. 44th APS Reservists pull plane for charity
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Air Force Reservists based at Andersen AFB participated in a Plane Pull to help raise money for the American Cancer Society April 25. A team of 20 Reservists from the 44th Aerial Port Squadron pulled the Boeing 737 12 feet in 5.81 seconds, which was the best time out of all the military teams participating in the competition. The Air Force Reserve team tied for 5th overall. The event was held at the Continental Airlines hangar in Tiyan.
