Never forgotten: Team Andersen honors fallen comrades
Attendees of the RAIDR 21 Re-dedication ceremony gather around the RAIDR 21 monument May 28, 2016, in Adelup, Guam. The monument was beautified by Alex Wood, a boy scout, who constructed a retaining wall, painted the surrounding area and cleaned the monument. The monument honors six B-52 Stratofortress crew members who lost their lives during a training mission July 21, 2008. The RAIDR 21 monument, located in Adelup, Guam, honors six B-52 Stratofortress aviators who lost their lives during a training mission and were slated to perform a flyover in support of Guam’s Liberation Day July 21, 2008. The monument received modifications from Alex Wood, a boy scout, who constructed a retaining wall around the monument, painted the surrounding area and cleaned the monument.
