Andersen's Best: Tech. Sgt. Tyrone Yeargin, 736th Security Forces Squadron

Tech. Sgt. Tyrone Yeargin, 736th Security Forces Squadron, was awarded Andersen's Best here Dec. 28.

Sergeant Yeargin was nominated for superior performance as NCO in charge of Operations. He supervises 24 expeditionary Airmen, ensuring all are properly equipped and trained for United States Pacific Command contingencies, disaster response and humanitarian assistance missions.

"Sergeant Yeargin leads by example and is a definite asset to the 36 Wing," said Master Sgt. Jantzen Duran, 736th Security Forces Squadron operations superintendent. "He is a highly motivated and model NCO." 

Sergeant Yeargin recently led a 24-Airmen Fly Away Security Team in support of the President of the United States' visit to Asia. Additionally, he completed the Army Basic Airborne Course and deployed as part of Special Operations Center Pacific Center/Cobra Gold supporting the 644th Combat Communications Squadron/CRS with Integrated Defense at a Forward Operating Base.

Sergeant Yeargin was also recently STEP promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant.

Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman with an award.
