Andersen's Best: Tech. Sgt. Garrett Toomas, 734th Air Mobility Squadron

Tech. Sgt. Garrett Toomas, 734th Air Mobility Squadron Command and Control Operations noncommissioned officer in charge, was awarded Andersen's Best here June 16.

Sergeant Toomas displayed exceptional leadership in blending Air Mobility Command Center and Team Andersen efforts by directing and executing a combined 137 ground support missions, moving 898 cargo tons and 1,421 passengers in and out of Andersen Air Force Base in support of exercise Cope North and humanitarian missions supporting Operation Tomodachi.

"Sergeant Toomas always exceeds standards and performs at a higher level," said Senior Master Sgt. Rhonda Blackstone, 734 AMCC superintendent. "He helped make the humanitarian relief efforts for Operation Tomodachi a success."

Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman with an award.
