Tech. Sgt. Susie Bryant, 36th Medical Support Squadron medical acquisitions and customer service flight noncommissioned officer in charge, was awarded Team Andersen's Best here Oct. 4.

Sergeant Bryant is responsible for overseeing $1.2 million in contracts, manages a $2.5 million medical group account and validates requirements for the medical group's $4 million War Reserve Materiel package.

"Sergeant Bryant was a key member in the success of the 2012 budget close out," said Master Sgt. Derek Whitaker, 36th MDSS logistics flight chief and Sergeant Bryant's supervisor.

Additionally, Sergeant Bryant tracks and trains 27 Quality Assessment Evaluators and trains 55 custodians on the Defense Medical Logistics Support System, making sure that these individuals are provided the training necessary to fulfill their responsibilities.

"She's very meticulous; she follows everything by the book," said Sergeant Whitaker. "She makes sure that the people she trains know what they're supposed to learn and perform with a high level of proficiency."

Along with the responsibilities of handling and managing millions of dollars in contracts and accounts and training numerous individuals, Sergeant Bryant leads the processing for medical contracts within the medical group, and procures all Government Purchase Cards and form nine orders.

"She successfully handles the workload that would normally be done by three people," said Sergeant Whitaker. "She covered contracts and other duties that are completely separate from her job-related tasks."

Despite a busy schedule, Sergeant Bryant finds the time to enjoy travelling and have fun with her friends.

Team Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman/civilian with an award.
