The Guam Retiree Activities Office will host their 10th Annual Retiree Appreciation Day at Andersen Air Force Base's Top of the Rock on Saturday Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The day's event is open to all retired military servicemembers, their spouse, as well as widows and widowers, and will feature refreshments, door prizes and several other attractions.

"Retiree Appreciation Day is an event to honor our retirees and to highlight their service to our nation," said Dave Ehlers, Director of the Guam Retiree Activities Office and a retired Air Force chief master sergeant. "It also provides a great chance for retirees and their families to receive the latest information about benefits, services and support from both base and local agencies."

Numerous on and off-base organizations will have information about services available to retirees and their family members, including TriCare and Veterans Affairs. The 36th Medical Group will also be providing flu shots.

"Representatives from various veterans organizations, the 36th Wing Legal Office, 36th Force Support Squadron, 36th Medical Group, 734th Air Mobility Squadron (Space-A travel), and other agencies will be present to offer assistance and share information on the many programs retirees can take advantage of," Mr. Ehlers said.

The Retiree Activities Office requests that retirees sign-up to ensure a seat as space is limited.

For more information or to register, contact the RAO via e-mail: Guam.RAO@us.af.mil. You can also call (671) 366-2574 (callers are advised to leave a message).
