COPE North 2020 slated for February

The United States, Japan and Australia are scheduled to participate in COPE North 2020 at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 12-28, 2020.

COPE North is a multilateral U.S. Pacific Air Forces-sponsored field training exercise conducted annually at Andersen AFB, Guam. The exercise focuses on large-force employment and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief training to enhance interoperability among U.S., Australian and Japanese forces.

More than 1,300 U.S. Airmen, Marines and Sailors will train alongside approximately 1,200 combined Japan Air Self-Defense Force and Royal Australian Air Force service members during the exercise, utilizing more than 100 aircraft from 21 flying units.

COPE North has integrated air operations for more than 40 years and our network of alliances and partnerships remains the backbone of global security.

Media interested in attending should RSVP by Jan. 30 in order to facilitate base access and flightline photography approval. Media representatives are required to send a completed media credentialing application via email to the 36th Wing Public Affairs at 36wg.pa.mediaoperations@us.af.mil no later than Feb. 5. Non US citizens are also required to submit a foreign visitor questionnaire.
