Andersen's Best: TSgt Jayar P. Pabalan

ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam --  Tech. Sgt. Jayar Pabalan, 36th Medical Support Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge, was awarded Team Andersen's Best, March 22.

"Sergeant Pabalan manages medical information systems projects and oversees 912 pieces of equipment, worth $1.7 million for 190 medical group members," said Capt. Damian Pardue, Sergeant Pabalan's supervisor. "Sergeant Pabalan was critical during the medical group's recent Air Force network integration center migration of over 200 computers, applications and servers, helping Andersen become second in the Pacific Air Force to complete the wing migration."

"This upgrade project enabled the medical group to have real-time radiology reads and full interoperability with our U.S. Navy Hospital partners, without impacting patient care," continued the captain.

Sergeant Pabalan also oversaw the configuration and deployment of the Pacific Air Force's first state of the art $400,000 12-blade, 16 terabyte server farm replacement.
"Through all of this, he displays the confidence needed to face the toughest leadership challenges with a positive can-do attitude," said Captain Pardue.

In his spare time, Sergeant Pabalan enjoys working out, spending time with his family and playing with his dogs. He is also a devoted Catholic and a fan of the San Francisco 49er's.

Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman/civilian with an award.
