Andersen Air Force Base is scheduled to conduct an emergency management exercise here, Wednesday Feb. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.

There will be increased noise and activity to include controlled detonations, sirens, messages from loud speakers, and alert vehicles that will respond to various emergency simulations. Traffic and base access may be impacted.

The exercise involves various training scenarios and is intended to prepare Team Andersen for potential incidents including aircraft malfunctions, injured personnel, attacks on base and other incidents.  The exercise is a routinely scheduled event, ensuring ongoing readiness of emergency responders and personnel on base.
