Below is a listing of agencies or offices to contact for help depending on the situation. In the event of a live snake sighting or need for removal, contact the United States Department of Agriculture-Wildlife Service at 366-3887 during normal business hours for support; afterhours at 747-1639 (4-10:30 p.m.) or 747-1640 (10 p.m.-6:30 a.m.); weekends at 747-1639 (6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.) or 747-1640 (10 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). If a live snake is sighted within an Interdiction Area (IE any aerial port exit, such as the flightline, cargo yard, munitions storage, vehicle staging or holding facilities for off-island transport), the response protocol is to kill or capture the snake with caution or at a minimum maintain visual contact until USDA-WS is contacted and on site. For control or removal of live animals such as rats, dogs, cats or monitor lizards, contact the 36th Civil Engineer Squadron Pest Management/Entomology. This does not include snakes or toads. They can also be called for the removal or disposal of dead animals found inside buildings such as deer, pigs, feral dogs, feral cats, birds and rats. 36th CES Pest Management/Entomology can be contacted through customer service by calling 366-2916 during normal business hours; emergencies will be transferred to the fire department after normal duty hours. For the control or removal of live animals such as deer, pigs, birds, turtles or coconut rhinoceros beetles, found outside of the confines of a building, contact the 36th CES Environmental Flight at 366-1849 or 366-5078.
