Andersen continues AFAF drive Published April 8, 2007 By Staff Sgt. Chris Powell 36th Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Team Andersen members are continuing their push to make this year's Air Force Assistance Fund "Commitment to Caring" campaign the best ever. So far, Andersen has raised more than $24,700 in support of the AFAF campaign, which began here March 5 and will end April 15. "Team Andersen had a lot on its plate recently - exercise and UCI preparations and distinguished visitors alongside its normal duties. However, thanks to the unit reps, and overall commitment to caring, Team Andersen has impressively pulled through," said Capt. Richell Martinez, Andersen's AFAF project officer said. "I am very impressed with the unit reps in my discussions after the exercise. They have told me that, with the exercise behind them, they are going to hit the units hard in the next few weeks before the UCI to meet Team Andersen's goal." Andersen's goal is a little more than $25,000, and we're at about 98 percent, according to Captain Martinez.
