The deadline to file your taxes is fast approaching.

Active duty members, their dependents and retirees are all eligible to have their returns prepared free of charge at the Andersen Tax Center.

The tax center has qualified volunteers to assist members in filing their taxes. Take advantage of this free service before it's too late. You may qualify for credits or deductions you don't know about.

The tax center is open Monday through Friday from noon to 4 p.m.

If you are filing a 1040EZ, you may walk in during office hours. Those filing a 1040 or 1040A must make an appointment by calling 366-4TAX (4829).

Taxpayers are encouraged to bring Social Security cards for themselves and dependents, W-2s, 1099s, bank account and routing information, and any other applicable tax information.

The Andersen Tax Center will close on April 17.
