The 554th RED HORSE Squadron recently deployed six vehicle mechanics to Osan Air Base in South Korea to repair vehicles and to return a variety of equipment to service condition.

The six mechanics were Staff Sergeants Jesus Keith, Chad Benjamin, Senior Airmen Gregory Stewart, Robert Vasquez and Phillip Lorenzo, and Airman 1st Class Joseph Rego.

In addition to performing the maintenance, the members will also pack and prepare the vehicles for shipment here. The vehicles will be used by the 554 RHS for constructing the Northwest Field training site.

"The work our deployed members are doing will play a vital role in the Northwest Field training site," said Senior Airman Garren Bartell, 554 RHS logistics. "We will save money on rentals once the vehicles get here and also the extra vehicles will allow us to get more things done."

Vehicle mechanics in the 554 RHS are responsible for the maintenance and repair of squadron vehicles in support of squadron operations.
