The 36th Wing Top Three Council hosted the annual Junior Enlisted Appreciation Day Oct. 26.

The event was a way to say thank you to junior enlisted members and let them know their hard work and efforts are appreciated. Approximately 300 members came out at various times throughout the afternoon.

Free hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, sodas, water and juice were offered. Music and games, such as volleyball, kickball, dodgeball, Spades and Dominoes, were set up. There was also a Dunk Tank. And the Air Force Sergeant's Association provided free snow cones.

"The day was a generous gesture shown by the senior NCOs," said Airman 1st Class Tiffany Spradlin, 36th Logistics Readiness Squadron.

Many Airmen said they had a good time and provided positive feedback and comments.

"The free food, music and games made it an enjoyable and entertaining environment for everybody," said Airman Spradlin. "The free combo meals and free rental cards passed out by Chief Master Sgt. (Saniford) Andree (36th Wing command chief) were also a big hit."

Master Sgt. Karen Smith, 36th Logistics Readiness Squadron, was the point of contact for the event. She believes people had a good time playing games and socializing, and that it was truly appreciated by the junior enlisted personnel.

"When the opportunity comes again to participate in this type of event, I would encourage more to come out," said Sergeant Smith. "It was probably a stress reliever for many."

The event was a success, thanks to the help of many Top 3 members and, of course, the junior enlisted members who came out and took advantage of the fun.
