Andersen aids in Chinese earthquake relief effort Published May 20, 2008 By Airman 1st Class Carissa Wolff 36th Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Through the dedication of personnel from multiple organizations 18 pallets of supplies amounting to 33 short tons of relief for Chinese earthquake victims was airborne to China from Guam May 17. Several personnel from multiple organizations participated in this effort to include Team Andersen's 36th Logistics Readiness Squadron, 36th Contingency Response Group, 36th RED HORSE Squadron and GS-21. Air Force assets including a C-17 were used to make the effort a success. The supplies were air lifted from a FEMA location at Barrigada, Guam.
