Team Andersen's Airman and Family Readiness Center offers a monthly newcomers oreintation class for all newly-arriving spouses. This event provides an opportunity for spouses to meet, develop camaraderie and learn about the local customs and life here on Guam.

The AFRC offers a very informal and fun-filled day of learning about the base and the local community. Representatives from various base organizations will be available to provide information about their  programs and services, as well as, answer the plethora of questions that new arrivals may have about their now unfamiliar surroundings.

A few highlights of the orientation include the United States Department of Agriculture's brown tree snake demonstration, the Guam historical and cultural overviews, a coconut husking demonstration, and a cooking segment that focuses on how to create some of the local fiesta dishes.
