Andersen's Best: Tech. Sgt. Vernee White, 36th Operations Support Squadron Published Aug. 2, 2011 ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Tech. Sgt. Vernee White, 36th Operations Support Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of mission weather, was awarded Team Andersen's Best here, July 27. Sergeant White is responsible for maintaining working relationships with supported flying and non-flying organizations to inject timely, accurate and relevant environmental weather information at every decision point in the mission planning process in an effort to optimize mission execution. Sergeant White is the lead weather forecaster in preparation for the upcoming Standardization and Evaluation Program for Weather Operations inspection in which she rectified 176 inspectable checklist items. Andersen's Best is a recognition program which highlights a top performer from the 36th Wing. Each week, supervisors nominate a member of their team for outstanding performance and the wing commander presents the selected Airman/Civilian with an award.
