Andersen Airmen, contractors and civilians are scheduled to participate in an Operational Readiness Exercise here Oct. 3-7.

The exercise will assess the wing's ability to survive and operate in various war-fighting scenarios and still maintain its mission of providing the President of the United States sovereign options to decisively employ airpower across the entire spectrum of engagement.

Throughout the week, exercise injects and instructions will be announced over the base 'giant voice' system. Airmen will don chemical gear as necessary and practice tactical maneuvers around the base. In addition, some areas may be closed while exercise scenarios are active and there may be increased traffic flow or delays at the main or Santa Rosa gates.
