Staff Sgt. Jason Smith, 36th Wing chapel program support non-commissioned officer-in-charge, was awarded Andersen's Best here, Nov. 17.

Sergeant Smith led the way on new chapel renovations of more than $5 million in construction for three of the chapel facilities, enhancing the chapel's ability to provide outstanding services to the entire military community on Andersen.

He is the backbone of the spiritual care provided for Team Andersen."

Sergeant Smith's also volunteered nine hours for Airmen Against Drunk Driving, saving six Airmen from possible fatal mishaps.
