AFOSI is looking to recruit Published April 19, 2012 By Special Agent Tracy Allende Air Force Office of Special Investigations ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- The Air Force Office of Special Investigations Detachment 602 is seeking qualified Airmen interested in pursuing a challenging and rewarding career as a federal law enforcement agent in the United States Air Force. Enlisted Airmen may apply for special-agent duty once they've first served in another career field. Those eligible are: Staff Sergeants with less than 10 years time in service Technical Sergeants with less than 1 year time in grade and less than 11 years time in service. Senior Airmen are accepted on a case by case basis. (If you have a line number for Staff Sergeant, you will be considered as such) First Term Airman are releasable from their current career field, but must be within retraining window. Career Airman are releasable with the approval of your Career Field Manager. Current active duty officers may also retrain into OSI from most career fields: Company Grade Officers with no more than six years total active commissioned service. Must have less than 12 years TAFMS. Officers must also obtain release from career field through their Air Force Personnel Center functional manager. Applications can be accepted up to 10-13 months prior to date eligible to return from overseas. AFOSI trainees attend the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center for 11 weeks of federal law enforcement training with an additional eight weeks of AFOSI specific training. Recruitment briefings are scheduled for Monday, May 1, 2012 at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at 9 a.m. Both events will be held at the Top of The Rock Ballroom.
