Explosive detonation to occur at Andersen AFB Published April 16, 2021 36th Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Contractors will conduct a controlled detonation to remove unexploded ordnance at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, April 19, 2021. People in the local area may hear loud explosions throughout the day. An exclusion zone will be set up in the munitions storage area and guards will be stationed on the roads to prevent anyone from entering during the detonation process. No road closures are anticipated off the installation. These items were discovered during routine clearance operations.
