U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific to perform on Guam Published July 18, 2017 By 36 Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- The U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific-Hawaii eight piece ensemble "Papana" will perform a diverse repertoire of contemporary and classical jazz events throughout the community for this year's Liberation Day celebrations. The band's official tour on Guam will run from July 19 to July 24. The first performance will be at the Outrigger hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m., July 20. On July 21, the band will perform at the Liberation Day carnival at 8:00 p.m.during the fireworks. The first military base performance kicks-off at 12:00 p.m., July 22 at the Andersen AFB Exchange. The U.S. Naval Base will host a performance July 23 at the NEX shopping center beginning at noon and will conclude their tour at the U.S. Naval Hospital on Sunday, with two performances at noon and 3:00 p.m. The U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific-Hawaii is based out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii where they have called home for more than thirty years. The band has three ensembles, "Hana Hou", "Papana" and "Small Kine"bringing forth a wide variety of sounds and styles for concerts and community events throughout the Pacific region.
