Remains of missing swimmer recovered Published Nov. 21, 2016 36th Wing Public Affairs ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- The remains of an Airman temporarily assigned to Andersen AFB were recovered Nov. 21. The cause of death is under investigation. The U.S. Coast Guard Sector Guam, Guam Fire Department and Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25 were alerted to a missing swimmer near Pagat Point on Sunday afternoon and responded with an extensive search operation along the coastline. The Airman’s name will not be released until 24 hours after next-of-kin notification. More information will be released as it becomes available.
