Inside the training that shapes contingency contracting readiness

U.S. Air Force Col. Shaun Parker, 36th Mission Support Group commander deals with Airman 1st Class Maxim Gross, a contracting specialist with the 36th Contracting Squadron during an annual Contingency Contracting Officer training course at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 25, 2026. Approximately 40 scenarios occurred during the exercise to test the Airmen’s unit cohesion and their ability to operate in a contested environment.
