U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Sheila Smith, noncommissioned officer in charge of readiness and plans for the 36th Force Support Squadron, receives Linebacker of the Week recognition by the 36th Wing Command Team on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Nov. 5, 2025. As a War Reserve Materiel manager, she supports president directives and real-world operations in the event of an emergency through her oversight of 3,300 cots worth $431,000. Finally, she advises base leadership on the readiness of 106 warfighters and $1.5 million in assets, strengthening operations plan execution in the Indo-Pacific theater.
