Expedient Small Asset Protection Shelter System advances ACE in the Pacific region
U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Paul Birch, 36th Wing commander, cuts a ribbon during the Expedient Small Asset Protection Shelter system ribbon cutting ceremony on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Feb. 24, 2023. The ESAP is a rapidly-constructed, deployable steel shelter designed to protect aircraft and equipment in both built-up and austere environments. The ESAP development both enhances the capability of our forces and augments the resiliency and protection we can provide to our Allies and partners as we seek to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific.
